Expert Advice and Guidance
The need for schools to have a DPO has been widely publicised by a multitude of organisations, many of which are happy to cash-in on the fear of non-compliance with GDPR requirements.
Although schools may have a member of their workforce (or Governing Board) as their DPO, they need to have the appropriate knowledge to support the school in becoming (and remaining) compliant with the legal requirements of GDPR.
The full service includes:
- a named DPO to support the school to achieve and maintain compliance with the GDPR requirements
- email and telephone access to advice regarding data protection, subject access requests and breach management
- free access to a full model set of GDPR policies and procedures for schools
- development of an action plan to achieve and maintain compliance
- an annual meeting to check compliance and offer support with any specific queries or concerns
- annual written summary of progress for Governors
Full Compliance Audit and Action Plan - £300

A full Compliance Audit can be completed with the school to identify how far the school is along the road to compliance and what actions the school must take to become compliant.
The Compliance Audit involves a visit to the school, discussion with those with responsibilities for data protection and the development of a structured action plan for the school.

The school is then supported to gather evidence demonstrating it is compliant and helped to fill any remaining gaps.

School based Awareness Training Workshop - £100
​
Training for staff and Governors is available for delivery at schools at a time to suit you. The session is delivered in a fun and interactive workshop style. It is tailored to focus on specific areas of concern in your school or can be used to raise general awareness and understanding of what is required.

The sessions are focused on your school, where there may be any risks and how data protection might be made even better.
​
18 short on-line training videos are freely available to all staff and governors to help improve their understanding of the requirements at your school.
GDPR Compliance Audit and
School Based Workshop Training

The full service meets all your day-to-day compliance needs. However, at the start of the process you may want to add a formal Compliance Audit and / or Staff Training at the school. As these can be purchased if and when required, they are not included in the annual full-service charge.

Insurance Certificate
The Insurance Certificate confirms the levels of insurance held by Roger Simmons Ltd. These are felt to be appropriate to the nature of the contract and the service provision.
IR35 Exemption
The IR35 assessment confirms this service is outside IR35 and can be procured as a standard contract.
