About me and my business ethos

Hi,

I'm Roger Simmons and I'd like to thank you for taking an interest in the services I provide. If you are like me, I want to know who will be providing my support and whether they can give me the quality I need.

 

Living in East Sussex, I have a broad range of interests, knowledge and skills that I use to support organisations and individuals to achieve their goals.

My services are provided at a personal level within a relationship of support, trust and confidentiality. I listen to what you want to achieve and agree with you what actions are required and how they can be achieved. My advice is pragmatic, taking into account limitations around time and resources. I am happy to support the achievement of your goals or simply offer support and guidance. 

​

I have a Masters in Business Administration and have qualified as a GDPR Practitioner, a DPO, Prince 2 Practitioner and ILM Level 5 Coach.

 

I have a genuine interest in helping people to achieve their best and have incorporated this in to my business.

​

Volunteering has been a significant part of my life for over 30 years. I have been a Trustee of a number of voluntary organisations including the role of Chair in Early Years Nurseries, Sports Clubs and of a large Community College in East Sussex.

 

My business and life ethos is: 

- keep things simple

- avoid jargon

- plan for the worst whilst hoping for the best

- make assumptions at your peril

- take time to listen and respect the views of others

- never stop learning

- volunteer when you can

- make a difference

In addition to the qualifications and business experience outlined in each service area, I have a distinction level MBA (Project Management) and employment experience ranging from manufacturing, retail, banking and insurance through to Early Years, strategic property management, programme development and project delivery. The breadth of my experience has given me the invaluable ability to understand the priorities of different sectors and to focus on what is important to each customer.
